OH GLORY
Notable event #1 would be none other than the epic Paramore concert! it was in the MOA concert grounds, and insufficient funds forced me to settle with Silver tickets, translation: tiptoe-till-your-calves-are-screaming-in-agony-squint-your-already-nearsighted-eyes-and-beat-off-the-mob-pressing-in-around-you tickets :))Nevertheless, it was alot of fun to sing and scream and jump and insult callalily along with the rest of the crowd :))

PIZZA! PIZZA! PIZZA!
Next up would be the successful casting and shooting of my 3rd ever commercial-- Sbarro! Though this site has an approximate average traffic of zero, it would be on my conscience if i were to disclose details about the ad when my contract states that i agree to the confidentiality thing :P Let's just say it involves a mall, balloons, way too much pizza, and a yellow mini cooper :> 'Twas a literal 24 hour shoot, since we started at 5am friday and finished at 5am saturday x___x the good part was-- PAY AFTER!! WOOOOO! [pay after means you get your money as soon as you're done on the day itself :)] after that i went home and slept till 5 30 in the afternoon hahaha missed all the daylight!

FINALLY
In related news, my Smart ad is finally on the air! Yay! It's on gma, abs cbn, axn and etc so far, which is a step up since the jollibee ad was only on the local channels XD


I actually started typing this post with a much more profound topic in mind, but alas, laziness prevails yet again so i shall save that essay for another day :))

Whew.

AT LAASSTTT! La Sallian Arts month is over!! what a crazy insanely busy month it's been, so i'm glad to see the end of February and the ingress of the summer sunshine!!

So, where have I been?
EVERYWHERE.
I've been practically living in Taft these past few weeks thanks to several stacked up productions. I'm happy to say I've survived another La Sallian Arts Month.

At the moment there are two significant events that I'm not likely to exclude from my "Stories to tell the kids someday" list. Okay fine, exaggerating a bit but they're definitely two awesome stories!! Here it goes-


Story #1
One of the events of La Sallian Arts Month is a gathering of the incredibly awesome choirs of the different La Salle schools. As fate had it, I was an assistant production manager for this particular event. This year, the featured guest was Mr Jose Mari Chan, singer, songwriter, #1 best-selling album in the Philippines OF ALL TIME. Given that title, you can imagine my shock when I was assigned to be his personal PA for the day!! As in I spent the whole afternoon until the end of the show [around 10pm] hanging out with him! He had all kinds of kwentos, jokes and stuff. He even asked us for some ideas for his next song, and HE TREATED FOR LASAGNA. I ate lasagna paid for by THE Jose Mari Chan. *___*

I was pretty happy to know that despite his immense achievement in the music industry, he's still incredibly down-to-earth and a really nice guy in general. After a while he even went into Parent-mode and wanted to make sure I had a way home before he left for home himself! O___O
Anyway, I'm super grateful to OCA for giving me that awesome day :)

and of course, just like everyone else, i HAD to take a picture :)))




Story #2

I'll keep this one a short as I can :P So part of the LAM was Crossroads, which is the competition of 4 different plays, on 4 consecutive days, each with its own team and cast. My team was for the play Ikaw, Ako, Sila(his). I got to be stage manager once more, which i missed so much since I'm now on the production management team.

Anyway, after several grueling weeks of juggling academics, crossroads and other oca productions, our lovely play came and went in the blink of an eye.
Come Awards Night, the most awesome thing happened--



I WON BEST STAGE MANAGER!!!!!


yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!! I couldn't believe it! It was such a euphoric thing to jump up from my seat and be lost in the hugs of my teammates before going up to the stage to receive the award and give the speech and stuff. It was amazing. To add to the awesomeness, our play won 7 of the 12 awards given that night!! Yay team silahis!! :D I swear, at times like this i just have to say- i love my job. :)



So yeah, midterms loom ahead. here we go.

I just finished watching You're Beautiful, a korean show recommended by my dear friend Min Ji, and also by my fellow edible sister, Mamon. I just finished the last episode and the withdrawal syndrome is kicking in.

I believe it is totally unnecessary to say i liked it, considering this post wouldn't be here if I didn't. But yeah, I LIKED IT. I just thought of something a while ago- if i were to come with a recipe, korean/taiwanese novelas would probably one of the ingredients hahaha. [it is every girl's birth right to watch novelas! if you don't like it, be gone you foul closed-minded fool :P ] in fact i think i'm already picking up some korean phrases :))



well, i suppose that's all for now. just felt like sharing ahahaha. Salangheo!

EPIC FAIL

So yeah. Allow me to recount my immense misfortune of the day.

I was in TECHDRW (technical drawing) class, minding my own business. Just doing my work like a good student. To optimize accuracy in this drawing, I used the Grid + covering technique, which is basically dividing it up into squares and covering everything except the current square you're drawing.

Anyway, about an hour into the exercise,I was putting the finishing touches on the wheel of the motorcycle [yeah, an hour to draw the front wheel. it's TECHDRW you can't blame meeeee! accuracy is key here.] I uncovered the grid to compare the whole thing---






I have never cursed so much in class in my entire college life.

To document this epic failure, here is a picture to bear testament to the fail books of history.

There is nothing worse than the feeling of helplessness.. okay fine maybe there is, but at the moment there isn't! your argument is invalid!

I'm supposed to be at rehearsals for tomorrow's show in the SDA and main, however i found myself confined to the walls of this house, as bantay and prisoner. BAH HUMBUG. *sob*

Anywaaaaaay, given my schedule for this term, it appears fortune has shined upon me and given me ALOT of free time. As in ALOT. [at least for now]. Not being a big fan of Sloth, I have narrowed down my options of what to do with this idle time-

1. Continue learning Spanish, since if i were to pursue French, it'd only be useful if I were to go to France, Canada or Africa whereas Spanish is exponentially more utilized in our family.

2. Pick up my extremely neglected musical education. I feel kinda bad that I don't play the piano anymore :(

3. Get back into dance. Yes, dance. It may be too late for me though, and I'm probably doomed to be an unflexible, under-exercised poste for all eternity :P I miss the exercise x___x

4. Work. Honestly i wouldn't mind working in a cafe or something but the parentals won't hear of it :P So I guess I'm stuck to the per-project thing with modelshop. Garr. I'm asking for a non-exclusive contract now anyway so hopefully there are better prospects on the horizon after the exclusive contract's out. :P



So yeah.



And for the record, I still feel super bad about not being at rehearsals. So for future reference, if I got to have one superpower, I would totally go all nightcrawler and pick teleportation. So convenient.
